Mr Amu is currently employed as lead clinician for risk governance and consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology at Blackpool Teaching Hospital NHS foundation trust (appointed 2012).

 

He is highly skilled at performing advanced level ambulatory (office) gynaecology procedures, advanced minimal access operations, and complex open surgeries for benign gynaecological disorders e.g. menstrual disorders, endometriosis, and ovarian cyst.

 

Mr Amu obtained his primary medical qualification (MBBS) in 2000 and on completion of structured postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in North West England (2004-2012), he was awarded a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and specialist registration with the UK general medical council in 2012. He is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) and British Society of Gynaecology Endoscopy (BSGE).

 

Mr Amu enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music and engaging in sporting activities.
